INTEGRIS BASS BAPTIST HEALTH CENTER TO HOST UNITED WAY COMMUNITY COORDINATOR’S LUNCHEON United Way of Enid and Northwest Oklahoma is gearing up for its 2019-2020 campaign with a Luncheon. The lunch is open to employers, business owners, and community leaders who are devoted to “Living United.” To attend the luncheon, which will be held from 11:30 AM – 12:30 PM, Thursday, July 18th at Integris Bass Baptist Health Center 1st floor in the Northeast Conference Room, please RSVP by Friday, July 5th to or by calling 580.237.0821. The lunch, generously sponsored and hosted by Integris, will serve as a launching point for our employer-led United Way campaigns,” said Dan Schiedel, Executive Director of United Way of Enid & Northwest Oklahoma. “Some of our major employer campaigns — such as Dillingham Insurance, Groendyke Transport, Integris Bass Baptist Health Center, OG&E and Stride Bank — have begun their internal fundraising planning and efforts and we hope to include their totals along with our Pillars when we make our announcement at our public kickoff in September. We are excited about our FIRST Friday EVENT on September 6th when the 5k Family FOAM Fun Run event returns along with a Family Resource Fair to be held at the Garfield County Courthouse Square.” Employers attending the luncheon will represent almost 70% of total campaign dollars, according to Schiedel. “We have an incredible group of businesses and individuals in Enid and the surrounding area who are long-time, generous contributors to United Way. There really aren’t words to express our gratitude for their generosity. Last year, our partner agencies collectively reported performing more than 750,000 acts of service: meals served, counseling sessions, or nights of shelter—just to name a few examples. This is only made possible by the diligence of those who work in our agencies and by those who continue to give. We are truly blessed by their commitment to our community as part of the United Way family.” “This luncheon is not a fundraiser. While employers will be able to pick up their employee packets, this is a time for us to commend our community leaders for the charitable work they are doing and ask them to be part of our Kick-off event as we commit together to engage others in service,” said Schiedel. “Kristy Skidmore of Stride Bank and husband Seth Skidmore of P&K Equipment Inc. are serving as our 2019-2020 Campaign Chairs and are challenging each of us with a theme of ‘Living United.’ “One of our goals is to engage our community leaders to encourage those in their sphere of influence to realize that what may seem an insignificant contribution to them could mean the world to someone else. A gift of one dollar per week adds up to a significant amount—a lifesaving amount—over the course of a year. No gift is too small, and everyone has the chance to be a hero,” stated Chairs Kristy and Seth Skidmore.
