(ENID, OK) United Way of Enid & NW Oklahoma recently received a $15,000 ADM Cares grant to fight hunger and provide food and nutritional information to 6 food resource centers in Northwest Oklahoma. “United Way of Enid & Northwest Oklahoma is very grateful to Scott Keller, Enid ADM General Manager and ADM Cares for this very generous grant. The funds will go to support food resource centers in 6 counties to help feed and educate thousands of individuals and families about nutrition and address food insecurity,” says Dan Schiedel, CEO of the United Way of Enid & NW OK. “Through this grant and our partnership with United Way of Enid, we will be able to help feed and educate thousands in the region. ADM and its employees like to give back and help our communities with not only these grants, but also our time. We are excited to be able to help people in northwest Oklahoma in these various counties.” said Scott Keller, Enid ADM General Manager Working together with the Regional Food Bank in Oklahoma City, the United Way of Enid & NW Oklahoma has identified 6 locations in its 17 county service area that need help with resources. Each location will receive a grant to purchase food for distribution and ADM employees will help with unloading and distribution of nutritional information at each location. “Our plan is to begin helping with Loaves and Fishes in Enid on the “Day of Kindness” Wednesday, November 13, 2019 and finish helping at the other sites by the end of December 31, 2019.” Keller added Other locations to be served are Perry Food Pantry, Loaves and Fishes in Guymon, Woodward Hope Center, Crescent Assembly of God and Alva Wesleyan Church.
